Supporting Amber's Army
Our Commitment
Kereds Advisory is delighted to affiliate with Amber’s Army, a charity close to our business and rooted in our home community of Horsford.
Amber’s Army holds a special place locally – not only for the vital support it provides to families, but also for the community spirit and togetherness it inspires.
As part of our commitment to supporting Amber’s Army and the Horsford community:
- £50 will be donated to Amber’s Army for every client who lives in, or relocates to, Horsford and completes their mortgage through Kereds Advisory.
- We are proud sponsors of the charity’s annual golf day.
- We remain actively involved wherever possible, continuing our dedication to giving back to the community we serve.
About Amber's Army
Registered Charity in England: 1202354
Amber’s Army is a Norfolk-based family charity aiming to “Create Rainbows in the Darkest of Days” for Norfolk families who have a child with a terminal cancer diagnosis.
The charity was established in 2023 by the parents of Amber Sheehy – Jon and Amanda – in their daughter’s memory. Amber was first diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2019. She fought with extraordinary strength and courage but sadly passed away in 2023 aged 8.
The board of trustees is made up of close friends of Amber’s parents, all of whom played a significant role in supporting the Sheehy family throughout Amber’s journey.
What They Do
Amber’s Army is committed to creating lasting memories and meaningful experiences for the whole family – not just the poorly child.
They are not a “wish” charity. Instead, they focus on:
- Creating special family days out
- Making seemingly impossible moments possible
- Supporting precious time together
- Providing emotional support during incredibly difficult periods
Many of the most meaningful memories are found in the smallest moments – filled with love, laughter and smiles.
How They Help
Families are referred by Norfolk hospitals and hospices, or can self-refer.
Amber’s Army builds relationships with the entire family to ensure no one feels excluded. They work closely with families to understand what they need — whether that is:
- Creating meaningful family experiences
- Practical and emotional support
- Signposting to additional financial or specialist services
The charity is only able to provide this support through fundraising, donations and community backing.
How You Help
When you choose Kereds Advisory for your mortgage and live in – or relocate to – Horsford, your decision directly supports Amber’s Army.
Together, we can continue to create rainbows in the darkest of days.
